Even though Marc Kellaway and Tanja Jessen has been making music together for more than 12 year in projects such as Vinyl Dog Joy, Tender Buttons and Pink Luminous Invocation, and Tanja frequently works as guest-collaborator in Marc's Exquisite Russian Brides, The Exquisite Russian Blues Duo is their first official duo. Specialising in songs of Sex and Beauty, their debut recording will be an extended cover/decontruction of "Darlin' Nikki" from the immortal Purple Rain, moving from sad blues for cello and guitar towards electric orgasms and abstract noise and back again without ever loosing the beat. No seats are going to be left dry.
